Day 20 (September 9, 2006) - Port Angeles, WA
<<^>>
Things are not going well... We both got up early: I had to work and deliver some jobs, Petr needs to go to immigration to get his passport stamped. He is back in less than two hours, with no stamp. They did not accept him without an appointment, although in Boston we were told we could simply walk in at any office in the US to get that bloody stamp. This is a setback! We need to rivisit our plan: Canada is out of question.

We both decide that we should leave Seattle, hoping that our luck will turn. The destination is Olympic National Park. The drive is pretty long, going yet again south of the city through Tacoma, the up through Bremerton to the peninsula. With traffic, it takes us almost the entire day. Our plan is to visit this park then hopefully ferry over to Keystone and go to the North Cascades. Whether the ferry will take RVs remains to be seen, with our luck lately I doubt it...

We decide to stay at Port Angeles, the entry town to Olympic, at a campground by the Elwha dam. It was one of the best campgrounds we stayed at so far, they even had a DVD rental service, and WiFi. We actually WERE LUCKY, since they only had one spot left! Oh, maybe the curse is over...

We took this picture late at night, realizing that we had nothing for today.
